Cold Steel - Facon Argentine Gaucho Knife
The Facón, the national knife of Argentina, gained worldwide fame through the Gauchos. Its wide, simply shaped blade was absolutely ideal for a wide range of tasks, whether it be to hunt wild game or livestock. disassemble, repair saddle and bridle, or cook and eat meals.

Cold Steel® is now very excited to present its own version of this iconic knife. The wide, sturdy blade made of 30,5090 carbon steel, kept in a classic shape, is a full 30,5 cm long. On the back of the blade, elaborate notches (so-called ". Jimping) attached. The handle made of exotic Malaysian Salwood was hand-carved in the traditional way. The finial and knob are made of nickel-plated steel. Even the sheath of Cold Steel's® large Facón knife follows the Argentine tradition. It was crafted from sturdy black leather, featuring a central seam and adorned with an intricate nickel-plated steel ornament plate.
1090 carbon steel
Carbon steel 1090 is an excellent choice for larger fixed blades. It is easy to sharpen and maintains this sharpness, yet remains tough enough to withstand even the most brutal stress tests. In short: a good all-purpose carbon steel that remains very durable even under heavy use
