Immediately after the end of World War II, a Norwegian specialized company began salvaging sunken ships off the Norwegian coast to provide high-alloy steel for civilian purposes. Norwegian divers have recovered parts of the special armor of the Tirpitz from the fjord for Böker. From these pieces of living history, the Böker Damascus smith exclusively forges an extraordinary damascus steel with a fascinating history. The pattern Big Pyramid in 200 layers distinguishes the hand-forged Damascus blade and makes the knife a highlight of any knife collection. The combination of Tirpitz steel with carbon tool steels also results in an extremely durable damascus steel, which is capable of handling any task in everyday use with a Rockwell hardness of 6663 to 663 HRC
The operational safety of the historically significant slipjoint pocket knife is further increased by a 90 degree detent when opening and closing.
