*The term Damascus steel"," Damascus steel or simply Damask refers to a composite steel made of two or more different types of steel. The name is derived from the Syrian city of Damascus"," which is considered the former stronghold and origin of Damascus steel production. Usually"," a hard"," carbon-rich steel and a soft"," low-carbon steel are brought together by repeated forge welding and folding. The carbon-rich steel provides greater hardness"," better hardenability"," and longer edge retention"," while the softer steel of the blade imparts higher elasticity and greater fracture resistance. With this technique"," which originated in a time of poor and varying steel qualities"," you can combine the positive properties of different steels. Due to the different colorations with varying carbon content"," impressive patterns of alternating layers also emerge"," such as. twisted"," as if sucked in. Twist damascusor in the Rose damask. Not least because of these patterns"," the damascus blades of the Middle Ages were attributed an inherent magic.

GERNE WIEDER
So unsere Meinung. Ansonsten sehr gut .
