Hanwei - Military Dadao
This sword by Hanwei is a replica of the Dadao used by the Chinese military during the Japanese invasion in the period before World War II. This replica was created in honor of the Chinese victory in defending the Great Wall, where the Dadao and the Katana faced off in battle
This sturdy sword is designed for demanding cutting tasks. The leather wrapping on the handle is designed to reflect the many wrapping materials used by the poorly equipped Chinese army at that time (many handles were simply wrapped with knotted fabric strips). A leather scabbard is included to protect the sword and the wearer, even though the originals did not have one
In addition, each Dadao comes with a canvas print in poster format, depicting the defense of the Great Wall
From the house of Hanwei.
