Pohl Force

The German company Pohl Force was founded in 2007 by Dietmar Pohl in Burscheid. The company specializes in the production of high-quality combat knives, utility knives, and outdoor knives. Dietmar Pohl has already made a name for himself worldwide as a knife designer and author. He has been active in the knife industry around Solingen for decades and has not only written several books about knives but also many articles for trade magazines. Throughout his long career as a marketing manager, product manager, and designer, his focus has always been on modern EDC knives and tactical knives for the military and police forces.

The tactical knives known for their reliability from Pohl Force are designed by Dietmar Pohl. In collaboration with his excellent contacts to special forces of the military and police worldwide, battle-tested military knives, utility knives, and survival knives are created. Pohl Force uses German Niolox, American Carpenter CTS® BD1, and D2 tool steel for the blades. Depending on the area of application, noble Santos wood, highly structured G10, or even glass fiber-reinforced Zytel are used for the handle scales. With these high-quality materials, ergonomically shaped handles, and functionally designed blades, Pohl Force combines top performance with exceptional designs.

Dietmar Pohl's life is strongly influenced by his passion for knives. The Pohl Force founder has an enormous amount of expertise and is known for his competence and dedication. He collaborates extensively with special units from various armed forces to design his knives according to real-world requirements. However, Dietmar Pohl emphasizes the importance of clearly communicating that he himself has never been a member of a military or police special unit, putting a stop to any related rumors. He has no intention of exploiting such rumors, a practice that unfortunately occurs far too often nowadays. His respect for individuals who have earned the right to wear an elite badge through rigorous selection processes is immense and deeply rooted.

Much rather, his enormous expertise is based on his personal contacts, the many conversations, and countless opportunities for substantial information exchange with individuals from this environment: GSG9, combat swimmers, SEK, reconnaissance scouts, paratroopers, KSK, Marines Force Recon, SWAT, London MET Police, etc. The Pohl Force founder Dietmar Pohl also seizes every opportunity to learn something new and has already completed several courses and private lessons with the mentioned units to deepen his knowledge and gain more practical experience. Whether it's Bundeswehr exercises for civilian leaders in the Air Force and Army, SWAT training in Sterling, Virginia, or bayonet and knife combat training with the US Marines Force Recon in Camp Pendleton (San Diego), Dietmar Pohl has put in the effort.

And now, after 14 years of realization, the founder and CEO of Pohl Force is finally independent of predetermined production or management constraints and can focus on his own ideas to 100 percent and down to the smallest detail.
