This is the reconstruction of the Spatha, as used by the 1" up to 6 century in the Germanic settlement area The blade is forged from high-quality spring steel and is approximately Hardened to 48 HRC It has a pronounced fuller, which gives the sword great elasticity and at the same time lightness The blade is dull The pommel and the guard are made of brass plates riveted together, enclosing a horn disc inside The handle is made of wood, brass, and horn
The delivery includes a matching wooden scabbard It is covered with leather and has brass tuning slides and mouthpieces
