Cold Steel - Tiger Claw Karambit Pocket Knife with Serrated Edge
Cold Steel®'s Tiger Claw was created by the knife maker Andrew Demko and is brimming with design innovations!
For the design of the blade, Andrew Demko drew on his extensive experience as an electrician and engineer: When he decided to craft his own multipurpose knife by hand for work, he created a Karambit/Hawkbill hybrid knife that could cut through ropes, cables, wires, and much more. This knife has been his faithful companion for years, and when he was asked by Cold Steel® to design his own version of a folding karambit, this blade shape immediately came to mind
The Tiger Claw replicates the blade design of Andrew's original knife, but is made from high-quality American steel. It combines the tactical performance of the Filipino or Indonesian combat karambits with the utility and functionality of the hawkbill utility knife
The Demko thumb disk allows for quick two-handed deployment of the Tiger Claw from the pocket, either in a fencing grip or in the traditional karambit grip (with the tip facing downwards).
The Tiger Claw is characterized by Demko's typical minimalist style. It features an ultra-slim, CNC-machined handle made of G-110, a black aluminum thumb ring, and Cold Steel's exclusive Tri-Ad® locking mechanism
Carpenter CTS® XHP Steel
The American Carpenter CTS® XHP steel is a high-alloy powder steel with high carbon and chromium content. It has a very impressive edge retention. With its extremely fine-grained, uniform structure, it outperforms equivalent flow steels by lengths. This high-performance steel is used for many products, whether for top-quality kitchen knives or surgical instruments. Its polished surface appears beautifully satin-matte and its edges can be sharpened extremely sharp, making this steel an excellent blade material for everyday use knives
