Battle Merchant - Norman Sword Combat SK-C
In the Battle of Hastings in the year 1066, the Normans conquered England and installed William the Conqueror as the new king. This event also marks the end of the Viking Age. The Vikings finally settled in their conquests and, as Christianized Normans, even went on the Crusades for their new God. This sword fits perfectly into this warlike era, characterized by strong change. It is available as late Viking Age both as and as Norman to designate
This sword is exclusively handcrafted. The straight guard bar and the typical pommel are made of heat-treated, forgeable cast iron. The one in oil at approx. 48 HRC hardened spring steel blade goes all the way through to the pommel and is hand-riveted there. The handle is wrapped with a leather strap. The blade features a pronounced fuller, which gives the sword great elasticity and at the same time lightness. The blade tip and edges are dull and rounded
The sword comes with a very beautiful wooden-leather scabbard with a wooden loop as a belt strap (for max. 5 cm wide belt. The scabbard also has a steel throatpiece.
